Yannick is a dedicated community leader with over a decade of service rooted in advocacy, restoration, and empowerment. Formerly incarcerated and released in 2020 after serving a life sentence, she has transformed her lived experience into a powerful force for change. For the past five years, she has worked with the Community Justice Center in Fresno, where she developed and facilitated CBI classes for youth in the Juvenile Justice system, helping them clear their records and build a path toward a brighter future.
With a background as a drug and alcohol counselor and director of a residential detox program, Yannick has supported countless individuals in overcoming substance use challenges and reconnecting with their higher selves. Known for her authenticity, compassion, and unwavering commitment, she leads with heart and purpose. Currently serving as the Advocacy and Organizing Coordinator with SWFC, Yannick works across California to uplift unheard voices and advance meaningful change, ensuring that system-impacted individuals are seen, valued, and empowered to redefine their futures.
